Skinny Dipping in Eternity
Skinny Dipping in Eternity
Oil on canvas I 80 x 100 cm
Painted over several years, this piece combines the stillness of nature with the geometry of human presence. Under a pale blue moon, two tree-like forms rise on either side of a reflective pool, while the angular crane shape hovers above, part structure, part constellation.

Skinny Dipping in Eternity
Each painting carries its own journey - here’s a glimpse of how this piece unfolded.
These paintings were started in 2019 and finished during the Covid lockdowns in my home studio. The garden outside became a quiet influence, the shapes of trees and plants slipping into the work. The crane form serves as a counterweight to that organic presence, a reminder of the built world within a more dreamlike, natural space.
